Seriously? Lampshade sees a similarity between throwing a baseball and completing a Sudoku puzzle? Sorry, but there is a difference between a young boys strength and an adult man's strength. It has nothing to do with cheating. This puzzle, however allows cheating and I am sure it takes place.

Today I solved an extreme one in 3:19 and got a message to be in the top 100 of the day for the first time.
It makes me very proud and I can see that there's really some progress by experience.
Two month ago my best one was above 5 minutes.
Sometimes I think there won't be any further progress for me to be possible.
But I make screenshots of my best results and when I look at them I can see I'm improving slowly step by step.

My best time for extreme category is 6 minutes 10 seconds.

I wonder how others are able to complete in less than 2 minutes.

I improved my best for extreme to 3:08 now but I think, thats my limit. My tenth best is 3:40 and it gets harder and harder to reach the highscore.
Today I played 3 hours and got only 3 new entries but in the higher range.
Maybe there are devices that make it more comfortable to enter the numbers (I use a small Galaxy S2 Smartphone).
But theres a physical limit just to enter all pencil and sulution possibilities.
My best in easy is 1:24. (cause there are not so much pencil entries needed)

on my old phone I got 3 minutes and 40 sec but since I changed my phone 5 months ago I was never able to exceed 4mnt 20 sec on the extreme level. The only nasty thing I do is terminating the game when time passes 5 minutes and start a new one

My best are:
easy: 0:46
medium: 1:11
hard: 1:58
extreme: 3:26

I almost always play on easy. And I must say, I play a lot. 10-40 games per day, usually on the way to work. And I've been doing so for 5 years on this same app. Slowly but steadily my times have been improving. Though that wouldn't be surprising after literally thousands of games :p
I remember 2 years ago my easy-times would average around 1:50 with a highscore of 1:43 and thinking "I will never ever get faster than that". I kept going and got stuck again around 1:15. My current 0:46 is from 7 months ago, but lately 8 out of 10 times I'm under a minute.
And no, I don't cheat. I've thought of the screenshot-way, but it seems so convoluted. And it would mess up my own real scores. But still, usually in easy-competitions I make the list, but never at the top.

Just got below 3.00 for the first time - 2:56, and feeling very proud. My #10 is 3:20 and I regularly score around the 3-4 minute mark. Not sure if I can get any faster.

Some of the Extremes are easier than Hard. I have a suspicion that the more i play Hard the tougher its getting. I had 10 under 10 minutes then under 9, 8, 7. But after playing 100 odd games i still cannot better my earliest timings of 6 minutes. Couldn't be getting worse, the more i play?

I actually solved an extreme in 2:47, but it really doesn't count. I had to use the validate function to keep making sure I was not putting in inaccurate stuff (I did not want to waste any time). But that is all I did- I did not use hints or anything else- just validate- I think that my time was pretty good, considering I stopped to check my work three times. I have found that generally speaking, if you do not use either the fill-in function or validate, and you are not some kind of Sudoku genius, it is the only way you are going to solve these really hard puzzles.
