Well there is no real way around that. The timer stops so that a person can come back to play later if they have a phone call or something and they won't lose time. If a person actually wants to test themselves, they will play honestly. Competition mode isn't finalized yet so we're still working on it. If you have suggestions, we'd love to hear them. We are aware of this issue and are working to resolve it as soon as possible. This is due to a compatibility issue with the new iPhone/iPod Touch software (iOS4). Once we have a fix available, we will push it to the app store and you will be able to download the update from there.
