If each generated puzzle had an ID (and one could generate a puzzle by ID) then one could send the ID to a friend and s/he could solve the same puzzle. Also a list of fiendish puzzles would quickly be 'known' viraly.

This technique is used by the original Solitare program on Windows95. There was a web-based list by ID ranked in order of difficulty.
