Maybe some people are cheating, but honestly I think most people accusing others of cheating just have a hard time accepting that someone else is that good. But some people are that good. I don't have any mind-blowing records, but I just started doing extreme puzzles after feeling like I had pretty much mastered the hard level. Within a few weeks, I've gone from 6-8 minutes per puzzle to 3-4, with a record of 2:15 (just hit it today, with a previous record of 2:30). I don't see myself as a remarkable person, so someone who is really smart and adept at Sudoku could reasonably get <1 minute records after some time. It's a matter of figuring out the puzzle pattern and improving your mental flexibility to see the patterns faster and faster every game.

My record for extreme is 2:43. Hard record is 1:22. I usually get around 3-5 minutes for extreme, and 2-3 minutes for hard. I would upload a screenshot, but there doesn't seem to be the ability to do that on mobile in this forum. Oh, well. I've been using the Genina app for maybe 4 years? Never really played Sudoku before that. I'm a smoker, so I play a game or two every time I go outside to burn one.
