I don't think this is a standard strategy, I just made it up. But I think it works.

I'll have to think on this and try to apply when it shows up again. Thanks.

Cheers!

Image doesn't show up in post but it can be seen by clicking.

Anyway... in the upper right square remove the 3 from the two boxes in the left column. (there is a 3 in the bottom right square which negates them) Once those 3's are removed you'll have four boxes within that upper right square with the unique numbers 4,7,8,9... You can then negate the 7 from the box with the 1,5,7 and also the 4 from the box with 3,4,5 and the 8 from the box with the 2,3,6,8. Now you have the unique numbers 1,2,3,6 in the top row so that makes the box with the 1,8 in the upper left square a 1.

Let me know if this helped.

Cheers!

Best extreme time is 4:50... but I usually play when I'm eating my lunch, with my left hand.

I ran through the solution after the computer 'hint' and the 7 in the bottom right square ends up in the top middle between the 1 and 3.

This type of puzzle has been driving me nuts. I've gotten quite a few like it recently and I can't figure 'em out. Obviously I could guess but I'm sure a solution exists. If I use the hint function the computer comes up with a solution but I just can't see it.

Any help/hints would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!
