There is a timer there already. What OS / device are you on? Do you have it turned on in "Settings"?
We may do a Windows (Mobile) based release, but the plans haven't been finalized yet.
Thank you for your suggestion. We'll consider it for inclusion into a future release.
We are going to do a release soon, but what you are asking for is not in it. I'll add this to our "To do" list for future consideration.
Games are now saved per level, meaning you can start an easy puzzle, go back and start a medium one without loosing your progress on the easy one. When you come back to "Easy" you'll be asked if you'd like to work on your saved puzzle or start a new one.

If this happens again, send me a PM as soon as this happens, so I can investigate.

Have you tried http://genina.com/apps/sudoku/stats.jsf?
This came out with the latest release on Android and will be out with the next iOS release. I just didn't have a chance to update this thread.
Go to the main screen and click on one of the game buttons. If there is a game of that level in progress you'll be prompted to continue with it or start a new one.
Technically we could, but who is going to pay for it?
Cell first - you select a cell and then a number to go in it. Then select the next cell and a number to go in it. And so on...

Digit first - you select a digit and then every cell you select that digit is entered, until a new digit is selected.
The original Android phone - the T-Mobile G1 - has dedicated hardware number keys, that's what was used in the original development.
As the number of phones grew it became impossible to keep one of each on hand to test for all the variations.

We'll look into supporting this sort of hardware configuration in a future release.
I looked at this phone and it doesn't seem to have dedicated number keys. I'd try pressing the keys with numbers on the top half together with the Alt key or together with the Shift key, but if you tried that and it didn't work, I'd say then this hardware is not supported. Sorry about that.
As far as I know hardware keys have always been enabled. Let me know if they don't work for you. You may need to use the modifier keys like Alt, Shift or Ctrl, depending on your keyboard.
These are puzzles that only available at certain times with all helper functions disabled. Additionally, for any given competition, the puzzle would be the same for everyone.
